Help Prevent (or Fight) Osteoporosis With This Greek Yogurt Breakfast Bowl

One of my favorite sayings is that food is medicine. What we put into our bodies can have an incredible impact on our overall well-being, and can even help prevent or fight things like osteoporosis! I love this greek yogurt breakfast bowl because it’s packed with nutrients and ready to go in just a few minutes (I recommend leaving it in the fridge overnight so you’re all prepped for the next day). As a bonus, non-fat Greek yogurt is high in calcium (you’ll get 18% of your RDI from one container), which means it’s perfect for strengthening bones and preventing osteoporosis. It also contains a good amount of protein, vitamins, and fiber.


Ingredients

Non-fat Greek yogurt

Your favorite toppings! Some suggestions:

Fruits

  • Bananas
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries
  • Kiwi
  • Pineapple
  • Coconut flakes (unsweetened)
  • Raspberries
Nuts (watch your portion size with healthy fats!)

  • Pistachios
  • Almonds
  • Chia seeds
  • Pecans
  • Cashews
Natural sweeteners

  • Raw honey
  • 100% pure maple syrup

Directions

Add your preferred amount of Greek yogurt to a large bowl. Add any toppings you’d like (this is the fun part) and enjoy! It’s really that easy.
