3 Truths About The Flu Vaccine

Donna Sergi • Dec 29, 2018

I hear a variation of this all the time: “Should I get the flu shot? Is it crucial for my health and wellness this winter?” In a word….NO! It’s not the popular opinion by any means, but dig into what the evidence shows and you may just think twice about getting one.

Truth #1: The flu shot is highly ineffective

Each year the flu vaccine is modeled after strains from last year’s flu. So vaccine developers are basically hoping that this year’s mutations are similar to that of the previous year. But there are over 200 viruses that cause influenza, so really it’s a guessing game. And it means that millions of people are getting immunized with the wrong flu strand. Even the CDC itself is vague about the shot’s effectiveness, making statements like “how well the flu vaccine works (or its ability to prevent flu illness) can range widely from season to season.”

Truth #2: The flu shot contains toxic ingredients

Would you knowingly inject yourself with antifreeze? Probably not. But the flu shot does just that. Mercury, formaldehyde, ethylene glycol, and aluminum are just a few of the toxic ingredients flu shot recipients are being injected with. And by the way, those are all ingredients that cause symptoms.

Truth #3: The flu shot can contain harmful viral proteins from chick embryos

Pharmaceutical companies often use fertilized chick embryos to culture flu strains. Just the concept itself can be off-putting, but the worst part is that these fertilized eggs can contain tiny proteins that may be harmful to humans. Unfortunately the flu shot ranks number one for causing the most vaccine injuries out there.

Your best bet for flu prevention is a nutrient-rich diet, lots of hand washing, and natural immune system boosters like vitamin C and elderberry syrup.
